The Coldwater Diaries

The first chapter of Coldwater Diaries Volume III Act II “The Comedown”, Cal Reaches out to his Maker, was written and posted over new-years-eve just this past week. And as promised before, all Volume III chapters will be written on-the-fly and posted moments after the final period drops. On the note of regular updates however, I won’t ignore the pink-elephant on this blog in terms of my posting frequency. Three months ago I promised regular updates and slacked a bit… and with that said, although I’m geared to bring this tale to an end, I can’t promise more than one update a week…

Don’t get it twisted though, I’m fully aware as to where The Coldwater Diaries is heading. Writing isn’t the issue… it’s just finding the time.

Volume III (as I’ve said before) is meant to be told in three acts. Chopped Up Lines, the first act of Volume Three has come to it’s conclusion with “Andrew’s Eye for Drama” passing the torch to “Cal Reaches out to his Maker” (The most recent addition to the site).

As I write this I’m over 1,500 words deep into the next chapter of Volume III Act II “The Comedown”, “Lauren and the Six Degrees” which (given my intention to take full advantage of my weekend) will be up within the next few hours…

The Comedown is a carefully crafted series of chapters in which all of our characters are now faced with a catalyst – a moment or situation forcing them to go one way or the other.

Looking back at the first chapter of Volume One written in a different time and place for myself and seeing where my characters (and myself as writer/human) are now truly represent an actual process of growth… a series of events leading to another to better train one for the rocky-road of life – and now on the cusp of completion, as a writer I couldn’t be more excited to not only share the conclusion of this tale, but at last move on and introduce some of my other work as well.

And taking into consideration where I was from moment one regarding this project to where I am now, I stress to my readers what’s to follow from here out will (Three years later) wrap up this tale as if the whole mess was preordained. When the fact of the matter is, The Coldwater Diaries as a whole is no more than a smutty blog formatted novel written as I’ve lived and learned.

And one more note, despite meager book sales of Volume Two, I plan on inserting Volume Two chapters in accordance with Volume Three chapter-by-chapter (i.e. if there’s 15 chapters of Volume Three posted, no matter what, there’ll be an equal amount for Volume Two as well).

I’m sure there’ more to say but I’m hardly in the mood so I’ll leave you all here and now with a simple thank you to all the readers thus far followed by an ellipses (three-dots) as I fade to black…
